IITM College of Engineering successfully hosted *SparkSpeak 2024* on 18th November 2024. The event was organized by the institute's Literary Society, श्रीJourn, with Ms. Shruti Chanchal and her team serving as hosts.
The purpose of the event was to provide the students with a platform to showcase their talents in communication skills. Participants were given on-the-spot topics related to contemporary issues and were encouraged to express their Mind- Set effectively.
The event witnessed a diverse range of emotions among the participants. While some exhibited confidence, others appeared nervous or anxious. However, the experience proved invaluable in helping students overcome their inhibitions and build self-assurance.
The evaluation criteria included *content quality, pronunciation, clarity of the topic, confidence, and presentation skills*. The panel of judges comprised Ms. Sheenu Sharma and Mr. Dipkesh Kumar, esteemed members of the institute's English faculty.
SparkSpeak 2024 was meticulously organized and provided an excellent opportunity for students to develop and refine their public speaking abilities. The event concluded with the Prize distribution and on of course on a high note, leaving participants motivated to perform better in future

Self Defense Workshop Shashakti by Delhi Police

Event Detail :
The Police Commemoration Week was observed from October 25th to 29th, 2024, at the sports ground of Indraprastha University. The event saw participation from three districts of Delhi: Central, Outer, and West. Each district sent 200 female students to take part in this significant event. From the West District, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, Delhi University, and IITM College of Engineering, Janakpuri represented the region.
The occasion was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including the DCP, Assistant DCP, and an IPS Officer. The event was officially welcomed by the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar of Indraprastha University. A special musical performance was delivered by Constable Rajat Rathore, showcasing his guitar skills.
During the event, the participating girls displayed their skills and awareness in various self-defense scenarios, including categories such as kidnapping, hair grabbing, and phone snatching. The event concluded with refreshments and a lunch hosted by the Delhi Police. Each participant was presented with a T-shirt and a certificate of appreciation for their involvement and contributions.
